Peter Cynfryn Jones

Peter Cynfryn Jones has been conductor of the Glasgow Chamber Orchestra since 1991, performing a vast and varied repertoire including world premieres of works by leading contemporary Scottish composers.

He has conducted the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra on numerous occasions, at concerts, studio recordings and for many of the orchestra’s education projects.

Peter has worked closely with the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland, directing its repertoire course and conducting NYOS Strings in highly acclaimed performances. 

He is also currently principal conductor of the Scottish Philharmonic Orchestra.
